Typical entries include changed sample domains, updated TLD restrictions, registrar accreditation changes, and registry metadata refreshes.

Registrar, registry, and search-index refresh

Public reference datasets were re-generated from source after the IANA registrar feed advanced and accredited registrar totals grew.

  • Active accredited registrar count increased from 3,024 to 3,035 after re-fetching from IANA.
  • Newly added registrars include `DCGRP OÜ (IANA #4571)` and other freshly accredited operators; renamed entries such as `10dencehispahard, S.L.` → `10dencehispahard SLU` were updated to match the current IANA source record.
  • Registry-to-TLD mapping re-extracted: 731 registries covering 1,296 TLDs, with the largest operators (Donuts, Binky Moon, Amazon, Uniregistry, United TLD Holdco) unchanged at the top.
  • Search index regenerated to 1,310 items (862 public TLDs, 44 major registries, 128 notable registrars, 14 discovery pages, 48 domain stories, 2 guest authors and 2 guest posts).

Terminated registrar data refreshed

The terminated registrar dataset was brought back in sync with current IANA status data after a broken updater path was fixed.

  • Added `0101 Internet, Inc. (IANA #816)` to the terminated registrar dataset after its accreditation termination became effective in January 2026.
  • The public terminated registrar reference now shows `Last updated: March 22, 2026` instead of the stale November 2025 date.
  • The generated terminated registrar count increased from 1137 to 1142 entries.

IANA registrar dataset refresh

The registrar source refresh updated the active registrar dataset from current IANA data, which changed accreditation status, identities, and registrar metadata.

  • Removed `0101 Internet, Inc. (IANA #816)` from the active accredited registrar dataset.
  • Added newly accredited registrar records including `BestCert Pte. Ltd. (IANA #4563)`, `Dalian Baoli Information Technology Co., Ltd (IANA #4553)`, and `Dntrade.com.au Pty Ltd (IANA #4556)`.
  • Refreshed registrar identity records where the same IANA ID now maps to a different active registrar, including `IANA #3863` changing from `Domain International Services Limited` to `Namemart Limited`.
  • Updated renamed registrar entries such as `IANA #1509`, which moved from `Cosmotown, Inc.` to `TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown` in the active dataset.
  • Removed formerly active records no longer present in the accredited source set, including `Brennercom Limited (IANA #1641)` and `BRS, LLC (IANA #1908)`.

TLD example and restriction data refreshed

The TLD dataset was updated with newer sample domains and corrected restriction text on affected TLD pages.

  • Updated sample-domain sets on TLD pages including `.apartments`, `.attorney`, `.auto`, `.bargains`, `.bingo`, `.capital`, `.care`, `.computer`, `.dentist`, `.holiday`, `.loans`, `.money`, `.photos`, `.rehab`, `.repair`, `.style`, and `.wine`.
  • Added registry-style examples such as `registry.bet` and `registry.wine` to the public TLD data.
  • Corrected `.my` restriction text so it reflects open second-level `.my` registrations and separate rules for some third-level namespaces.
  • Removed stale or low-confidence examples such as `miana.abogado` during the refresh.
